Alcenia D. "Jerry" Brust, 82, of Benton, Arkansas passed away on March 27th, 2012, with her family by her side. She was born on May 5th, 1929, to John V. and Ora Dare, in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the youngest of eleven children. Alcenia joined the Army at the age of fifteen and served at Harmon General Hospital in Longview, Texas. After the war, she worked at Ft. Roots Veterans Administration Hospital for twenty-seven years.

"Jerry" is preceded in death by her son, Mike A. Barrett, her parents and her siblings.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ed Brust; four children, Barbara Moore, Robert P. Barrett and wife, Sandy, Cathy Goss and E. Sue Fowlkes and husband, John; three granddaughters, Tina Harris, Brandy Zink and Emily Lakemaker; three great granddaughters and a host of family and friends who all loved her and will miss her dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 30th, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant.
