Anita May Johnson, 87, of Little Rock, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on February 23rd, 2025.

Anita, also known as Nene, was born on October 12th, 1937, to Prentice Alvin and Clara Bernice Whittemore in Vermont. She graduated from Brandon High School in 1954. Anita established a home built on faith, love, and Christ as the cornerstone.

Anita enjoyed Playing Tetris, listening to music. Favorite TV shows, game shows etc.:

Tetris, word searches, magazines, traveling, casinos, collecting things, eating out, talking on the phone, Coco, feeding the birds, telling stories of her life, and spending time with loved ones..

Anita lived for the Lord and her family. Her unwavering faith and love for Jesus touched countless lives. Her sweet, nurturing nature and kindness were apparent to anyone lucky enough to know her. Her legacy will undoubtedly continue through the countless lives she influenced and the values she instilled in those she loved. She will be deeply missed.

Anita has now been reunited with her beloved daughter, Phyllis Cooper, her parents, Alvin & Clara Whittemore, and many other family members and friends in God's eternal paradise.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Jeremy (Stephanie) Bent, Miranda Woodson, and Emily Chung;  great-grandchildren, Jonathan Woodson, Elizabeth Woodson, Caden Bent, and Cole Bent; son in law, Greg Cooper; long time best friend, Dorothy Greer; Along with a host of other family and friends who all love her and will miss her dearly.

Anita's children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Anita's visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. She will then be laid to rest following her visitation at 1:00 P.M. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas.
