Arthur Ralph Helmich of Benton was born January 24, 1929. At the age of 85 he went to see his heavenly father whom he served whole heartedly in all his action and deeds. He now resides in his mansion in the sky God gave him a brand new set of tools to work with. He was a gentle soul; a giving, inventive, industrious man who loved his wife Shirley of 57 years to the very end.
Arthur is preceded in death by his mother and father, Ed and Edna Helmich; brothers, Edward and Ted; twin brother, August and his sister, Lucille.
He is survived by his sisters, Irene Schrader of Benton, Helen Auw of Oregon; brother, Clarence Helmich of Tennennesse; loving wife of 57 years, Shirley Helmich; he left behind his legacy of daughter, Carrie Helmich and grandson Garrett Crump; daughter, Sharon Thomas and her husband, Mark Thomas; grandchildren, Alissa Thomas and friend Vada Harrell and Jared Thomas and his wife, Katie; great grandsons, Luke; Seth Thomas and his wife Jamie, Gabe and Aidan and a host of family and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant with burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
