January 25, 1935 – August 17, 2022
Artie Lee Blue, Jr., 87, of Nevada, Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. He was born to the late, Artie Lee Blue Sr., and Ollie(Staton) Blue, on Friday, January 25, 1935, in Lonoke, Arkansas. Artie retired from the U.S. Post Office after 31 years as a letter carrier. He was a great athlete and a great coach to his children's ball teams. He attended Lifeline Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for many years.
Thursday, August 18th, 2022, marks Artie and Betty's 66th anniversary of marriage. Now they are celebrating together.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Betty Blue; brother, E.C. Blue; two sisters, Ella Mae Larkan and Jessie Tucker; and grandson, Brandon Lee Blue.
He is survived by his three children, Randy Blue (Susan), Monte Blue (Gibi), and Rebecca Blue Massey (Carter); six grandchildren, Brittney (Eddie), Brady, Dillon (Ruth), Cody, Allison (Andrew), and Wesley (Kalie); one great grandchild, Pierce; one sister, Ida Faye Porter; along with numerous other family and friends who all love him and will miss him dearly.
Artie's visitation will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2022, from 2:00- 4:00 P.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. His celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
