"Bo" Dyer
December 9, 1952 – November 27, 2020
Benny Ray Dyer, 67 born to Mary & Densel Dyer on December 9, 1952 in Benton, Arkansas, where he was known by many loved ones as "Bo". Bo graduated from Benton High School in the class of 1970, and he continued his studies at Henderson State University. In 1974, he was drafted into the US Army where he served as a munition's expert, stationed in Germany where he served for the better part of his 3 years of service. After being honorably discharged in 1977, Bo then finished his degree at Henderson earning a Bachelors of Business Administration. Bo owned a gas station in Arkadelphia, ran a tire store, and worked at Reynolds Cable Plant before finding his calling as the owner of Bo's Bar B Que on Interstate 30 in Benton in 1986 where he served the community and his friends for 28 years. Bo married his soulmate Linda in 1986 at their home at camp Quapaw where they have lived happily for 35 years until he met the Lord on November 27 th , 2020. Bo Dyer was a salesman, an entrepreneur, a wonderful father to his surviving children and their spouses: Dustin Dyer and his wife Ashley, Kyle Dyer, and Niki Matthews and her husband, Steven. Bo, known as "Pappy" by his surviving six grandchildren, Kayla and Johnathan Streepey, Daniel & Ethan Dyer, and Cali, Zach, and John (Chelsea) Matthews. Bo is also survived by his brother, Denny Dyer and his wife Pat, to whom he has remained close and enjoyed playing as a drummer in their band, CRS. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 evening from 5-7 at his lifelong church, Sharon Missionary Baptist. Services will be scheduled for Wednesday December 2, 2020 at 11a.m. Arrangements provided by Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant.
