Bertha J. "Midge" Hester, 79 of Alexander went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2010 after a long and hard battle with Altzheimers. Midge was born on October 26, 1931 to the late, Daniel and Dora Jackson in England, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronald Gene Hester; three brothers and three sisters.
Midge is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Olin "Fritz" Hester; one son, Roger Hester; one daughter, Elizabeth Hester Townsley; five grandchildren, Dana Archer Moore, Steven Setta, Kristin Hester and Courtney Hester; two great grandchildren, Noah and Elliot Moore and a host of nieces, nephews and lifelong family friends.
A celebration of Midge's life will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home at 3:00 PM with burial to follow at Collegeville Cemetery. The family would like to offer their deepest thanks to Baptist Hospice and their employees, Dee Dee Perry, Elizabeth Vines and Anna Beth Mansfield.
