Betty Jo Howell 69 of Alexander passed away on August 25, 2012 with her family by her side. She was born on December 12, 1942 to Hilton and Mary Jo Reynolds in Berneice, Louisiana. Betty was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. Betty was a true fighter; she beat several illnesses and never let it slow her down. She had a very loving and caring spirit; she was loved by everyone she came in contact with throughout her lifetime.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Howell; father, Hilton Reynolds; brother-in-law, Kenneth Dunnehoo and sister, Jackie Reynolds.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Carmen Coates (Craig) granddaughter, Rayleigh Coates; grandson, Dalton Coates; mother, Mary Jo Reynolds; sister, Pamela Dunnehoo and a host of family, friends and church family who all loved her and will miss her dearly.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 27, 2012 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
