Carol Taylor Collins was born in Crossett, Arkansas to Hiram and Nancy Taylor on July 7, 1956.

She was a 1974 graduate of Crossett High School, a member of the Eaglette dance team, the Termite Homecoming Court, and a lifeguard. She loved numbers, getting her first job as a cashier at Dixie Dandy grocery store, then as a bookkeeper for Dennis Davis, CPA and Barnes Lumber Company. When she moved to Little Rock in 1987, she continued her bookkeeping career as a data entry clerk for Sales Mark Brokerage and later in the miscellaneous tax division of the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration. She retired in 2019 due to Parkingson's Disease.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Stephanie Ann Collins.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 39 years, Mike Collins; daughter, Kayla Hodshire; son-in-law, Sean Hodshire; daughter, Jana Collins; son-in-law, Jesse Rose; three grandchildren, Riley Hodshire, Connor Hodshire, and Haisley Rose; two sisters, Jan Taylor Stanley (Bobby) and Sharon Taylor Mashaw (Blake); nieces, Mandi Rice and Taylor Mashaw; nephews, Chris Rice, Jeffrey Chenos and Drew Mashaw. She'll also be missed by countless friends and numerous family members.

Her family and friends will gather for a memorial visitation beginning at 12:00 P.M. and then her memorial service to follow at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 8th, 2025, at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
