Carthel "Brian" Richards, 29 of Little Rock, slipped peacefully into eternal rest only a day after his 29th birthday. He gave his soul to our Lord on January 17, 1989 at the tender age of 9. Brian shared an incredible love for life. He enjoyed a tough competition of golf, which he usually won. He also enjoyed time on the area lakes and most importantly the fun weekends with his son, Evan. Brian was a very skilled craftsman. He shared a business with his father in construction. There was not a job he could not do to perfection and he took pride in his work. Brian is survived by his two children Carthel "Evan" Richards and Kaylee Elizabeth Richards-Shepard, his father Jeff L. Richards of Bryant, mother and stepfather Vicki and Ronnie Jones of Jacksonville, one sister Leah Richards, brother Alex Richards, grandmother Dortha Davis of Bryant, two stepbrothers Eric Nicholas & Brent Jones, two stepsisters Lorie Godwin & Lisa Martin, other relatives and close friends. He was predeceased by loving grandparents Carthel "Jr." Davis, and Roger and Mary Richards. He will be laid to rest at Pine Crest Memorial Cemetery next to his grandfather. A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life Brian lived will be on Tuesday September 23, 2008 at Noon. The service will be held at Dial & Dudley Funeral Home, 4212 Hwy. 5 North, Bryant, AR.
