Charles Ray Hill, 73, of Benton, Arkansas went home to his heavenly father on January 11th, 2024. He was born to the late, James and Ann (Drennen) Hill, on August 30th, 1950, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Charles retired from the army in 1988 after 20 years of service. He served as an army recruiter for four of those years and retired as Sergeant first class. Charles served as volunteer Chaplin at the Work Release in Benton with his wife Kathy for many years and they absolutely loved doing this work. Some of the many things Charles loved doing included fishing, and watching basketball, baseball, and football. Most of all, he enjoyed family gatherings with much laughter and yelling that could be heard as they root on their teams. Charles dearly loved his wife, Kathy and their 3 sons, Charlie, Stephen, David, Jessica, his daughter in law, and his granddaughters Haley and Grace Hill.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, James and Ann Hill; brother, Alan Coe; and sister, Patricia Collins.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Ward Hill; his three sons, Stephen (Jessica) Hill, David Hill, and Charles Hill; two granddaughters, Haley Hill and Gracie Hill.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. with the visitation one hour prior at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. Followed by burial at 1:00 P.M. sharp at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
