Charles Edward James, 86, of Mabelvale, Arkansas passed away on Monday, September 17th, 2018. He was born to Webster and Mildred James on Friday, April 1st, 1932 in Sulfur Rock, Arkansas. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1954 to 1956. He loved hunting and fishing. He was an independent man who liked to work and kept his garden. He loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob James.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Alice James; son, Charles Lynn James and his wife,  Donna Carol of Greenbrier; daughter, Kim James of Mabelvale; four grandchildren, Shaunna, Dillon, Brittney, and Matthew; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Juanell, Sue, and Lou; along with other family and friends who love and miss him dearly.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20th, 2018 at 12:00PM with the celebration of life following after at 1:00PM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home
