Obituary

Christopher Marcos Notias, age 60, went to be with his heavenly father on July 31, 2020, in Benton, AR. Chris was born in Houston, TX on January 25, 1960. Chris had a heart of gold. He never met a stranger and always greeted you with open arms and a kiss on the cheek. He has an infectious smile and when he entered a room, his presence was known. He either made a goofy noise or would smile so big that you couldn't help but grin right back at him. He lit up a room without even really trying. He was the definition of a family man. There was nothing more important to him. He loved to host cookouts at the house where everyone could simply be together. Lots of laughs had on that back porch. While Chris grilled of course, and it was one of his most favorite things to do. Being the family man he was, Chris wore many hats and played many roles. Husband, Father, PawPaw, Son, Brother, and many more. Of his many roles, PawPaw was the one he took most pride in. It wasn't uncommon to hear him say "Anything those babies need." He loved his grandbabies to an extent that cannot be put into words, From playing in the pool and water gun fights, to sitting and watching endless hours of Puppy Dog Pals or Blippi, there wasn't a single thing he wouldn't do for them. As long as he was with them and in their presence, he was happy. His role as a husband is another area without a doubt he excelled at, the love he has for Tanya was the kind you read about in fairy tales. He always made it his number one priority to put her first. They shared a kind of love that is rare and magical to see. Their love was contagious and the connection the two shared is something that will be greatly missed. Chris was a loyal man with a work ethic to be admired. He worked for Granite Mountain Quarries for 39 years and ended as a crusher Foreman. He loved his co-workers and always had stories to tell about the shenanigans between the guys. They would make you laugh till your stomach hurt. He loved to laugh and joke and his playful spirit will without a doubt, will be missed at the "Rock Box." Chris was also an adventurous man and loved the outdoors. He and Tanya frequently went riding with the kids which "kept him young" as he liked to say. He absolutely loved to be outside whether it was swimming and lounging in the pool or floating the river, outside was where he wanted to be. He also loved to tinker in his shop or supervise the boys as they worked on whatever project that they were working on. Chris wasn't just a brother, he was a lifelong best friend. From yearly bus trips to Houston as kids, to the birth of his grandchildren in the later years. They shared Life's ups and downs from his witty sense of humor to his get it done attitude, you could always count on Chris to be there for whatever was needed. And, While his passing was sudden and unexpected for all that knew him, we are all better off just to have known him. You will forever be engraved in everyone's heart.

Chris is preceded in death by his dad, Marcos Notias, mother, Bettye Spears, brother Steve Notias and sister Sweet little Willie.

He is survived by his wife, Tanya Notias, his children, Jason Notias of Alexander, Amber Notias (Dan) of Benton, Aaron McFadden (Hannah) of Benton, Ashley Nichole (Coty) of Benton, and Tyler Purtle (Emma) of Benton. Five precious grandchildren, the apple of his eye, Annaleigh, Laliah, Avery, Knox, and Nora Rose. brother, Nick Notias, sister Mary Grace Sardin and father Dub Sardin.
