Clarence "Rocky" Matthews, 71, of Little Rock, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2025. He was born on November 23, 1954, to Clarence Milton Matthews Sr. and Georgine Alice Matthews in South Bend, Indiana.
Rocky was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. A man of deep compassion, Rocky touched the lives of many through his kindness and willingness to help others whenever he could.
He was a proud and longtime volunteer with Toys for Tots in Arkansas, dedicating more than 50 years of service to bringing joy to children in need. His commitment to giving back reflected the values he lived by—selflessness, service, and love for others.
Rocky is survived by his children, James Matthews (Candace Matthews), Lance Matthews (Kimi Matthews), and Sabrina Williams (Bo Williams); his grandchildren, Jarrett Matthews, Justin Matthews, Samantha Pratt (Tyler Pratt), Alex Matthews, Colton Cupples, Reid Williams, and Shelby Williams; and his great-granddaughter, Isabella Pratt. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Milton Matthews Sr. and Georgine Alice Matthews; his siblings, Paul Matthews, Thomas Duane Matthews, and Cindy Scott.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Alex Matthews, Jarrett Matthews, Justin Matthews, Scotty Wade, John Hebert, and Wesley Ellis.
Clarence "Rocky" Matthews will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his generosity, love for family, and the countless lives he touched.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. at Pinecrest Memorial Park with visitation on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
