Obituary
Clifford "Roger" Phifer, age 71 of Benton passed away on April 3, 2010 at his home in Benton.
Roger was born on September 13, 1938 in Little Rock, Arkansas to his parents Forest and Opel Phifer. He was an avid sportsman and played softball and baseball for over 50 years continuously. He was also a veteran in the Navy and was proud to have served on the USS Montrose. His greatest passion was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him so much pride and joy.
Mr. Phifer is survived by his wife, Jimmie Fern Phifer, daughters; DeAnne Bhlum and her husband, Don,of Phoenix, Arizona and Janice Goodwin of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Sons; Jason Phifer and wife, Jessica of Paron and Justin Phifer and wife, Tracie of Benton along with 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held for Roger at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, 402 Shenandoah Rd, Benton, Arkansas
Visitation will be from 5-7p.m. on Tuesday at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant, (501-847-9099).
