Clifton Leon Hurst also known as Lala, age 67, of Bryant, passed on January 05, 2021. He was born in Fordyce, Arkansas on December 28, 1953 to the late Russell and Martha Hurst. He worked at Fordyce picture frame company, in the logging industry for Clyde Williams, who was a boss and a friend, and Bryant Sr. housing. He was retired at the time of his death. Clifton had a special place in his heart for children. Children sensed that and flocked to him. He has been known as Mr. Cluffaton, Mr. Cliffy, and finally Lala. Clifton has many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He had great times with Molly and Jake Hurst. He has three great nieces that mean the world to him, Taylor Magness, Ember Magness and Mackenzie Magness. Whatever they wanted he set out to ensure they got it! Clifton and Gloria were married almost 40 years. They weathered many storms together and came out stronger on the other side. Clifton helped care for his mother-in-law, who lived with them. He began making frequent trips to Fordyce when his mother required live- in help. He bought supplies and delivered them to assist her in having anything she needed. Clifton loved God all his life and was very sober minded about his faith. He was a member of the church of Christ. Clifton also loved to fish it was something he did very often. Clifton was cared for by some amazing health care practitioners: Dr. Jeff Mayfield, Shelley Payne, APRN, Dr. Brad Baltz, Dr. Kalyana Koneru, Dr. P. Wijewardane, Dr. Cidney Hulett, Dr. Shane Kimball, and Dr. Susan Delap and the day and night staff of BHMC-LR ICU-S.

He is preceded by his father, Russell Hurst; mother, Martha Hurst; and mother-in-law, Jannis Ball.

Clifton is Survived by his Wife, Gloria Hurst; brothers, James (Reba) Hurst, Stanley Hurst; sisters, Sue Burnett, Betty Harvey (Everett), Linda Browning, Mary Griffin (Freeman), and Frances (Mark) O'Mary and a host of family and friends who all love him and will miss dearly.
