Craig Durand Depriest, age 41, of Mabelvale went to be with his Lord on September 17, 2008 as a result of injuries sustained in work accident. Craig was born on August 16, 1967 in Little Rock to his parents Elbert Depriest and Dana Depriest Ellison. Craig treasured spending time with his family, friends and children. He always had a smile on his face and was willing to help anyone in need, no matter what was going on in his own life. Craig was a member of Christ Church and loved his church family. He had a true passion for serving God and would have given the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. Craig is preceded in death by his father, Elbert Depriest and his sister, Rebecca Depriest. Craig leaves behind his mother, Dana Ellison and her husband Buddy, his loving, wife Sherry Depriest. He also leaves behind his children: Michael Rivera, Nina Rae Rivera, Durand Depriest, Blake Depriest, and Craig Lynn Depriest. Stepchildren: Joshua Young, Ryan Moore, Destiny Ellingston, River Gross and Jordan Gross. Brothers: Mike, Doug and Joshua Depriest. Stepbrothers: Ray and Roy Depriest and Kevin, Wayne and Allen Ellison and two stepsisters, Robyn Depriest and Rita Ellison. Stepmother: Donna Depriest. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who all loved him and will miss him dearly. He also leaves behind a large church family who will hold up his memory and will be sorely missed. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Mr. Rogers, for taking Craig under his wing and treating him like a son of his own. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 from 6:00 – 8:00 at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home 4212 Hwy 5 North, Bryant 501-847-9099. A celebration of Craig's life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. His Pastor and Uncle George Dudley will be officiating the service.
