Daniel Paul Yates, was born November 24th, 1977 to Alvin Jerry Yates and Alpha Latisha Yates in Malvern, Arkansas. Daniel passed away on December 1st, 2024 at the age of 47 due to his battle with lung cancer, surrounded by his loved ones at CHI St. Vincent Hospital.

Daniel was married to Barbara Yates for 26 years and was a father to Hailey and Hannah. He was employed at XPO Logistics as a diesel mechanic for 12 years. Daniel was a very hardworking man who enjoyed fishing, hunting, as well as landscaping. He was the type of person who never met a stranger and would lend a helping hand to anyone. Daniel never failed to make someone laugh.

He is survived by his brothers, Eric (Sarah) Yates of Sardis and Eli (Angela) Yates of Traskwood as well as his niece, Katlyn (Jason and baby Lillian) Essary; his nephew,  Isaac Yates (Molly); Daniel considered his best friend, Jared Smith, as a brother, and Dianne Smith, as a second mother. He also had many close friends who he loved.

The visitation will be held on December 6th, 2024 at 12pm followed by the funeral service which will be at 1pm and both will take place at United Missionary Baptist Church, 3810 Salem Rd, Benton, AR 72019 with Brother Randy Ward officiating. There will be no burial service.
