David Lee Merkle, 45 of Alexander, passed away November 23, 2015. He was born January 25, 1970 to David Charles Merkle and Minnie Ann Hawley Merkle in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
He loved riding his motorcycle, enjoyed working at the VA Hospital and taking care of Veterans, cooking, spending time with his daughters, and his cousins, Michael and Doug Flippin.
He is survived by his parents; Minnie and Jim Hamm, David and Johnnie Merkle; mother of his child, Karen Merkle; daughters, Samantha Merkle and Claire Gilbow; brother, Taylon; special friends, Jody Bryant, Joy and Kirk Jennings.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth and Ray Pennington, Charles Pennington, Oscar and Vada Hawley.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Community Living Center at the VA Hospital or Wounded Warriors.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday November 27, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant.
