Delbert Leroy "Butch" Abercrombie, 64, of Benton passed away on March 9, 2010. Butch was born on June 11, 1945 to Delbert Eugene and Ethel Faye Abercrombie in Bakersfield, California. He was a member of Family Church of Bryant and loved to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing and playing his banjo. Butch retired from Pacific Gas and Electric in California seven years ago and moved back to Arkansas.

Mr. Abercrombie is preceded in death by his father, Delbert Eugene Abercrombie.

He is survived by his loving wife of seventeen years, Eydie; three daughters, Shonda Abercrombie, Tara Evans, and Andrea Robertson; two sons, David and his wife Rosie Abercrombie, and Tony Peter; nine grandchildren; mother, Faye Sayre; three brothers; four sisters and many other relatives, church family and friends who will all miss him dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2010, 2:00 pm at Family Church of Bryant with Pastor Perry Black officiating. There will also be a memorial service held on March 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Higher Ground Church 912 New Stine Bakersfield, CA with pastor's Ron Roberson and Duane Meadors officating. Arrangements provided by Dial and Dudley Funeral Home of Bryant.
