Dennis Warren
Pratt
February 16, 1947 – July 8, 2022
Dennis Warren Pratt was born February 16,1947, in a log cabin in Doniphan, Missouri. He grew up in St Charles, Missouri. At the age of 19, he was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War in 1966. He served two years and was honorably discharged in 1968, receiving the good conduct medal and the National Defense Service medal. He met the love of his life, Brenda Nelson, in November of 1968 at the age of 21 and married just over 4 months later on April 4, 1969. In 1972, his life changed when he committed his life to Christ. On August 8, 1975, he became an ordained minister. He went on to achieve his bachelor's degree while pastoring a church. He pastored two different churches before taking a break from the ministry to achieve his Master of Divinity, graduating in 1985. He then pastored his third church until 1988. Soon after, he attended Victory Fellowship and served as an Elder for 23 years. While serving Christ, he also worked as an independent insurance claims adjuster for a total of 28 years. He officially retired in 2018. Through the years Dennis and Brenda had 3 children, Clay, Leah, and Adam. After raising those 3, they raised a granddaughter, Victoria. He lived the rest of his life making and selling salsa (which he loved to do!) and loving his family. He LOVED his wife and family!!! Dennis and Brenda were married for 53 years.
Dennis is preceded by his parents, Lexie O. Pratt and Mildred Wilkerson Pratt and his brother, Donald W. Pratt.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Pratt; two sons, Clayton and Adam Pratt; daughter, Leah Baldridge; eleven grandchildren, Zachary Pratt, Victoria Pratt, Jacob Pratt, Katheryn Baldridge, Sarah Pratt, Elizabeth Baldridge, Gavin Pratt, Hadley Pratt, Addison Nichols, Emily Baldridge, and Kingston Pratt; sister, Carolyn (Lee) Barger; along with a host of great grandchildren and friends who all love and will miss him dearly.
Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 6:00 P.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home and the graveside service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
