Denver Lorraine (Ball) Hathcote took her last breath here on earth, and her first breath in Heaven, surrounded by family on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and neighbor, born October 6, 1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thurman Cletus Ball and Blanche Lee Palmer Ball, her brother, Truman C. Ball, her husband, John Stephen Hathcote, and her son, Stephen Kyle Hathcote.
Steve and Lorraine raised nine children and established a home built on faith, love, and Christ as the cornerstone. She is survived by eight of her children: John (Debra), Shannon Sams (Reeder), Shelly Whitehead (Jonathon), Andrea Cheek (Rodney), Kelly Rolan (James), Erin Pekrul, Matt (Julie), Mark (Andie), daughter-in-law Kim Hathcote, 29 grandchildren: Taylor (Austin), Cole, Hayden (Chloe), Tanner, Riley, Ivan, Charli, Morgan (Lane), Lillie Claire, Kennedy, Pearl, Ruth, Lexi (Jon), Tatiana, Jacob, Vanessa, Jakobe, Ava (Rhett), Mikey, Jack, Hannah, Brinkley, Hunts, Silas, Henry, Hoyt, Sawyer Hayes, Ezra, Abraham, 4 great-grandchildren: Keanu, Elias, Hart Kyle, and Sunnie Lorraine.
Lorraine lived for the Lord and her family. She touched countless lives with her unwavering faith and love for Jesus. She was dedicated to her women's Bible study groups and Sunday school classes.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday, March 3rd, 2025 with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m., service at 12:00 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church, 10765 Samples Road, Alexander, AR 72002. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to New Life Baptist Church.
