Obituary

Denyce "Dee" Angel Brownell, 77, of Alexander, Arkansas went to be with the Angels on February 11, 2022. She was born June 29, 1944, in New York City to parents, Janet and Denis O'Sullivan. She attended Catholic school in New York prior to her family moving to Coral Gables, Florida. While she was there, Dee was a majorette and graduated high school in 1962.

Dee is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert Brownell; daughter, Shannon; grandchildren, Sean and Shea; brother-in-law, Had Burdick; her special friend, Becky Rottenberry; along with Bob's family and many friends.

Dee is preceded in death by her younger sister, Dona Burdick.

After attending the University of Florida, Dee pursued successful careers as a Legal Secretary, Certified Animal Technician, and as a Medical Transcriber.

An avid horse woman, Dee learned to ride in New York City, riding in Central Park. She and Bob purchased her first Tennessee Walking Horse after moving to Lakeland, Florida. In 1976, Bob was transferred to Little Rock, Arkansas. Dee enjoyed showing her horses and horse camping. Dee also rode horses in the Aruba, Montana mountains and the Louisiana beaches. She loved her horses, dogs, chickens, and ducks.

Dee has been described as "adorable" and "feisty."

Dee and Bob met at the University of Florida and married in Gainesville, Florida in 1967. Theirs was an undying love and bond. Every day was a new adventure. Dee will be missed by her many friends and family.
