Dewey Michael "Mike" Hart, 83, of Alexander, Arkansas passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024. Born on August 5, 1941, in Bastrop, Louisiana, Mike was the son of Dewey Calvin Hart and Loriene Cheshire Hart, both of whom preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his brother, John. John's wife, Shirley, along with their children, Connie and Jeff, survive him.

Mike is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 59 years, Carolyn Stacy Hart. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and countless cherished memories. Mike is survived by his children, who carry on his legacy: Ken and his wife, Sheila, along with their children, Kallie and Blake; Vicki and her husband, Lane, and their daughters, Kealey, Natalie, and Grace; Don and his wife, Randa, along with their children, Lanee and Jake; and Jay, along with his daughter, Megan and her husband,Devin.

He is also survived by his brothers, Jim (married to Margaret) and Bob (married to Penny, with their son, Josh and his wife, Mandy).

A graduate of Bastrop High School in 1959, Mike went on to enlist in the United States Navy, where he proudly served his country and was honorably discharged in 1963. Mike's pride in his military service was matched by his passion for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Later in life, he became known for his good-natured humor, with his signature saying, "But I'm sweet!" fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Graveside services will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery in Bryant, Arkansas, on Thursday, October 31, at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring and celebrating a life well-lived.
