Donald Barnes 76 of Benton passed away on September 3, 2012 with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 19, 1936 to the late, Reece and Mabel Barnes in Keo, Arkansas. Donald retired from Alcoa after 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on airplanes and cars. Donald was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Shane Mathis; sister, Ann Cline and his brother, Gerald Barnes.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marilyn Barnes; four daughters, Donna Bradley (Bill), Dana Smith (Randy), Darla Tiner (Nathan) and Dee Lockert (Charlie); ten grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; two sisters, Nona Pickard (Billy) and Clara Jones and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 12:30 PM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
