Doris M. Thompson 87 of Hot Springs passed away on April 9, 2011. Mrs. Thompson was born on August 15, 1923 to the late James A. and Ruby E. Martin in Little Rock, Arkansas. She lived in Little Rock and two years in Hot Springs. Doris retired from The Enterprise for the Blind in Little Rock after many years of being dedicated to her job. She also worked as a LPN for Baptist Hospital and in California.
Mrs. Thompson is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edgar Virgil Thompson; one brother, James Martin; two sisters, Clair Milam and Ruth Cox and daughter-in-law, Angela Thompson.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Shirley Thompson Gotherman; two sons, Charles and Frank Thompson; one sister, Helen Moore; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends who all loved her and will miss her dearly.
