Douglas Brian Shannon, 56, of Little Rock went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 11, 2025. He was born on December 23, 1968 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Eva-Maria Baeumer Shannon; his two sons, Brian and Bradley Shannon; his parents, Richard and Kathy Shannon; his brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Cristy Shannon; his sister and brother-in-law, Paul and Angela Crawford; his nieces and nephews; Drew Shannon (Kristen Roberson), Nick Shannon, Aly Furr, Jodi Furr, and Catherine (Caleb) Avendano; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

To know Doug was to know how special and caring he was to those lucky enough to know him. He was so smart with a witty sense of humor. Early in life, he flourished as an entertainer, holding star roles in school and church program performances. He had a passion for playing the guitar, and he had an amazing singing voice. He enjoyed spending time at home with his wife and fur babies. He was an exceptional cook who found joy in feeding amazing food to family, friends, and even the needy. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will begin at 11:00, January 18, 2025 at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church located at 23908 Colonel Glenn Rd, Little Rock. His celebration of life will start at the church at 12:00 with a graveside service to follow at Ida Mission Cemetery located on Colonel Glenn Rd.
