Obituary for Edna Mae Summers

Edna Mae Summers of Bryant went to be with the Lord with family by her side on March 18, 2015, at the age of 91 years young.

Beloved by all who knew her, she radiated beauty, grace, charm, humor, kindness, and love. She was the epitome of what a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend should be. "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Proverbs 31:29.

She is survived by two children—Bobby Summers (Dianne) of Benton and Tina Summers Milligan (Dennis) of Benton; eight grandchildren—Terri Summers of Bryant, Robby Summers (Robin) of Benton, Scott Summers (Lindsey) of Benton, Tiffany Milligan Brown (Chad) of Benton, Andy Summers of Benton, Candie Summers of Benton, Elizabeth Anderson (Mike) of Lonoke, and Suzanne Leonard (Phillip) of Monticello; and fifteen great-grandchildren—Rachel Bell; Lexi Summers; Evie, Judah, and Ari Summers; Jackson, Gabriella, and Grace Brown; Kyndra and Lorelai Summers; Brittany Ward; Cody and Hunter Heifner; and Keeli and Connor Leonard.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, George W. Summers Sr.; her beloved, first-born son, George W. Summers Jr.; and her precious great-granddaughter, Gracyee Ann Summers.

She knew her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and is with him now. She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church.

Visitation is on Friday, March 20, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant. A celebration of her life immediately follows at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made in Mrs. Summers name to Saline Memorial Hospice.
