Elmer Andrew Yarberry, age 87, of Mabelvale went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2009. Mr. Yarberry was born on March 16, 1922 to the late, George Washington and Zora Elizabeth (Matthews) Yarberry in Tull, Arkansas. Mr. Yarberry was a charter member of New Hope Church of the Nazarene and served in many capacities with the church through his years of service.

Elmer was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a master builder and a hard worker. After retirement he spent as much time as possible with the love of his life and wife of 69 years, Rosie.

Mr. Yarberry is survived by his wife, Rosie Yarberry, two daughters; Sue Clinton (N.T) and Euldean Norman (David), four sons; Shaylin Yarberry, George Yarberry (Brenda), Dennis Yarberry (Carol), and Gary Yarberry (Darlene). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, two brothers; Ray (Ima) and Lynn Yarberry and two sisters; Georgia (Melvin) and Faye and a large extended church family along with a host of nieces nephews, friends and relatives and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Loretta Dixon, three grandchildren; Jason, Quinton and Keith Yarberry, two brothers; Hershel and Lawrence, and three sisters;Tincy, Delores and Wanda.

A celebration of Elmer's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday April 10, 2009 at New Hope Church of the Nazarene, 5519 Atwood Rd. in Little Rock.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home, 4212 Hwy 5 North, Bryant, Arkansas (501-847-9099).
