Elmo Kirby Jr. of Alexander, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 22, 2025. Elmo was born in McClelland, Arkansas, on April 25, 1942, to Elmo and Ollie Mae Kirby.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, and by his brothers, Harold and Bill Kirby. His survivors are his wife Gliceria of Alexander, Arkansas; his sisters Margarette Foster and Carol Garth of Alexander, Arkansas, and Jean Hitt of Des Arc, Arkansas; his brother Jeff (Martha) Kirby of Beebe, Arkansas, and by nieces and nephews, as well as a large circle of friends.
Elmo had a generous heart and loved talking to his friends. Having been unwell in recent years, he was confined to his home but continued to communicate by phone and on his computer through emails and Facebook. He enjoyed YouTube and movies. He was an avid photographer when younger but put that aside when he started his business in Alexander, Arkansas.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home at 4212 Highway 5 North, Bryant, Arkansas 72022, on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Funeral services will be at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant, Arkansas, at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026. Active pall bearers are John Fears, Shane Capeheart, Justin Curtis, Jeremy Lester, Daniel Cavasos, David Cavasos, Miguel Marquis, and Kevin McNiallin. Honorary pall bearers are Lloyd Holland and Shane Broadway.
Interment will be at August Memorial Park in Augusta, Arkansas at 2 p.m.
