Elvie Irene Yarberry, 82, of Little Rock, Arkansas walked through the Pearly Gates into the loving arms of our Merciful God on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. She was born to Edward and Lillian Barnhart on Saturday, November 2, 1935 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Granny, affectionately referred to as Aunt Dean, loved her family, enjoyed her flower gardens, watching the hummingbirds, and fishing when she was able. She worked hard to support and provide for her three children. She retired from the Department of Veteran Affairs on February 28, 1998 after 9 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Calvin, William, and Fred Barnhart; one sister, Frediline Rea; niece, Dorothy Altom; her fur babies, Tonto and Snowflake.

She is survived by a precious and loving sister, Edna Louise Bumgardner; a son, Steve Yarberry (Cindy); two daughters, Libby Herron (Johnny) and Peggy Dunlap (Kenny); six grandchildren, Bill Simmering, Janet Reynolds (Josh), LaWanda Steed, Sarah Yarberry, Westley Herron, and Caleb Herron; seven great grandchildren, Alyssa Singleton, Shellbie Steed, Abbie Reynolds, Casey Simmering, Landon Simmering, Aiden Reynolds, and Addison Reynolds; her faithful companion, Copper; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends who love and miss her dearly.

A very special heartfelt thank you to the Hospice Home Care and their caring staff, Katherine, Sheila, and Shirley. Another thank you to the Elite Home Health staff, LaKesha, Mario, Jennifer, and Lauri. Your job well done is appreciated.

A celebration of life will be held at New Hope Nazarene on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00AM with the visitation one hour prior. Officiating: Steve Yarberry, Minister.
