Eugene Thornberry, 79, of Grapevine, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 25th, 2015. He was born on Wednesday, April 22nd, 1936, to Yank and Rizie Thornberry in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He loved fishing, hunting, riding horses, dancing, rodeo's, pitching horse shoes, riding in parades, and shooting pool. He loved spending time with his family who all loved him and will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elizabeth Thornberry; daughter, Gloria Boyette; two sons, Danny and Hubert Thornberry; grandson, Jason Boyette; brothers, Richard and Clinton Thornberry; and sisters, Gertrude and Freda.

He is survived by three daughters, Janet Reed (Steve), Ruby Terry (Buck), and Virginia Steitler (Glen); three sons, Martin Thornberry (Susan), Tommy, and Kenny Thornberry; twenty six grandkids, forty seven great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil and Tilmon Thornberry; two sisters, Maxine McClain and Alice Witham; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Service will be Friday, August 28th, 2015, at 2:00 PM and his visitation will be the evening prior from 6:00-8:00 PM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant, Arkansas. Officiating will be Pastor Barbara Allred Calhoun.
