Evelyn Faye (Laws) Pearce, 91, of Monette, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 22nd, 2024, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Evelyn was born to, Tom and Pearl (Kingsley) Laws, on Tuesday, December 13th, 1932, in Dresden, Tennessee. She married the love her life, Joe L. Pearce, on Saturday, June 14th, 1952. They met while she was working at the Woolworth Department Store in North Little Rock. She later joined Geyer Springs First Baptist Church in 1957, where she served various roles as the preschool daycare secretary and the Sunday school teacher for toddlers for 40 years.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe L. Pearce; her parents, Tom and Pearl Laws; and her five siblings, Marie Sullivan, Opal Biggs, Harold Laws, James Laws, and Joe Laws.
She is survived by her two sons, Stephan Pearce (Sandra) of Caraway, Arkansas and David Pearce (Vicki) of Rock Hill, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Jameson Pearce (Brittni) of Bryant, Arkansas, Adam Pearce of Manchester, Tennessee, Madalyn Pearce, Nathan Pearce, and Noah Pearce of Rock Hill, South Carolina; great grandchild, Beckett Pearce of Bryant, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Virginia Oates Pearce of Conway, Arkansas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends who all love her and will miss her dearly.
Evelyn's celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 1st, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. with the visitation the evening prior from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant, Arkansas. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Her sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Geyer Springs First Baptist Church: P.O. Box 31510, Little Rock, Arkansas 72260 or to any charity of your choice.
