Obituary

Frances G. "Jeri" Ginger died on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. She was born in Prescott, Arkansas, on January 31, 1938. She moved to Little Rock as a child and graduated from Central High School.

Jeri was the widow of retired USAF Major Jimmy D. Ginger. They were married for 52 years.

She was predeceased by her daughter Karen McCloud, her grandson Jordan Armstrong, and her parents Ray and Myrtle O'Rourke. She is survived by her daughter Geinah Ginger of Little Rock; her son, Scott Ginger, of Little Rock; her grandson, Zac Armstrong, of Little Rock; her granddaughter Emily Drexler (Evan) of Grove City, Ohio; and her great grandchildren Brantley and Bailor and their mother, Blake Merritt of Little Rock.

Jeri was lovingly known as Jim's "Squirrel," the keeper of the nest, the provider of food, and the raiser of children. She was the supporting spouse of an air force officer, moving her family all over the world. After Jim's retirement from the Air Force, Jeri started a career as a disaster worker for the American Red Cross and continued that work as a volunteer after retiring.

She was a charter member of Trinity Assembly of God Church (TAG), attending services there for more than 75 years. Jeri lived for her family, for her faith, and for bargain shopping.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. Dwayne Maynard will be officiating. Both services will be held at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant.
