Gary Lloyd Hastings, 62, of Alexander, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 30, 2021. He is with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and no longer suffering from his illnesses. He was born to the late, Larry Lloyd Hastings (Tulsa, Oklahoma) and Alene Floy (Atkins) Hastings (Hope, Arkansas) on Thursday, March 19, 1959, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

In his spare time, he enjoyed working on small engines and helping family and friends. Although, he was known to sling a couple of gas weed eaters across the yard. He always had a joke to tell you and wanted to make you laugh. He loved John Wayne movies and listening to gospel music. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Jennifer Ann Hastings, and her boyfriend of 10 years, which was like another son to Gary, Andrew W. Mullins of Newark, Arkansas; his son, Gary Lloyd Hastings, Jr. of Alexander, Arkansas; one brother, James Larry Hastings and his wife, Alma Hastings of Paragould, Arkansas; one sister, Deborah Faye (Hastings) Moody of Benton, Arkansas; three nieces, Carmen Curtis of Franklin, Tennessee, Evan (Curtis) Hicks and her husband, Jeremey Hicks of Benton, Arkansas, Amanda (Moody) Bradbury of Benton, Arkansas; and a loving aunt, Faye Hampton and husband, Joe Hampton of Blevins.

A memorial service will be scheduled later in Hope, Arkansas for family and friends.
