George Lloyd Menning, 100, of Bryant, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 24th, 2025. He was born to the late Gerrit and Mae (Klomparens) Menning in Grand Rapids, Michigan, February 9th, 1925. Lloyd was the last living of five sons.

He was known as a prankster and had a fun, outgoing personality. Lloyd served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946. During the war while deployed at sea he began corresponding with his future wife Dorothy. The two married in August 1947. They graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa in 1950. Later that year they moved to Holland, Michigan where Lloyd enrolled in seminary. After his graduation in 1953 Lloyd served as a pastor in the Reformed Church of America until his retirement in 1987. He served in numerous churches across the country including Iowa, Arizona, California, and Kentucky. During his ministry, Lloyd faithfully preached the gospel of Jesus Christ. Lloyd loved his wife, Dorothy. They had three children together - Linda, John, and Paul. Lloyd showed his love for others through acts of service. He would often perform yard work for the elderly as a gift. After he retired as a pastor in 1987, Lloyd and Dorothy moved to Bryant, Arkansas. He served as a facilities manager at Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock until 2008.

Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Linda and his son, John as well as five grandsons and many great grandchildren.

His celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. with visitation one hour prior at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest with the love of his life at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
