George (Bud) Wheeler, 74 of Conway, completed his journey on earth Tuesday December 19, 2017. He was born on October 25, 1943 to the late, Alonzo and Catherine Wheeler in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He proudly served two tours as a Marine in the Vietnam War. He was in the United States Marine Corps from 1960-1966, where he received a Good Conduct Medal and a First Award. He later married Mary Jane Goss in August of 1965. He enjoyed spending time with his family, doing yard work, and fishing.

George is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Mary Wheeler; and two brothers, Albert and Jimmy Wheeler.

He leaves behind two children, Patricia Gideon (Kelly) of Conway, and Tammy Waite (James) of Alexander. He had six Grandchildren; Dustin Waite, Patricia Carroll, Kelly Gideon Jr., Jamie Creech, Devon Waite, and Lilly Gideon. He had 10 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters, 5 brothers and a host of family and friends who will love and miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held for George(Bud) on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Gap Mission Church 14 Patty Lane Conway, AR 72032.
