Hallie Marie Bates 87 of Mabelvale passed away on February 23, 2010. Mrs. Bates was born on January 17, 1923 to the late Isaac Lester and Stella Lotridge in Morrilton, Arkansas. Marie's most precious memories were spending time with her family. She was a member of New Hope Church of the Nazarene. She worked as a RN for 35 years.
Marie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leland McCandless; grandson, Timothy L. McCandless and brother, W. L. Lotridge.
She is survived by her children; Michael McCandless (Patricia), Dennis McCandless (Judy) and Patricia Kirk (Raymond); sixteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother, Bob Lotridge (Lorriane) and one sister, Becky Bernard.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Patton Hill Baptist Church in Oakman, Alabama from 1:00 – 2:00 PM with burial to follow at Patton Hill Cemetery.
