Hazel W. Menzies, age 104 of Bryant, went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2014.

Ms. Menzies was born on October 17, 1909, in Eden, Texas, to her parents, Marion and Alice Whitley.

Hazel spent the majority of her life as a rancher in West Texas. She had a passion for the outdoors and had a particular love for certain rocks and leaves that she would find. Hazel was loved by many and made friends wherever she was. She will always be remembered by those who were fortunate to meet her.

She was survived by her grandsons, Wes Menzies and his wife Carolyn of Rowlett, Texas, Wade Menzies and his wife, Autumn of Bryant, Arkansas, and Ward Menzies of Point Cedar, Arkansas; her daughter-in-law, Lucille Menzies, of Menard, Texas,; along with her great-grandchildren, Will, Scott, Ariel, Hunter, and Hanson Menzies.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, along with her husband, Walter Menzies and one son, Walter "Scotty" Menzies. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Malcolm Whitley, and her sisters, Anys Godfrey and Francis Grobe.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant, Arkansas, 501-847-9099.

Graveside services for Ms. Menzies will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Menard, Texas.
