Ila Self, 82, of Hot Springs, was promoted to Heaven April 21, 2012. She was "Mom" to hundreds of foster children in Jonesboro, the Methodist Children's Home in Little rock, and numerous foreign exchange students. She was an RN at St Vincent's Hospital for over 20 years. A member of Family Church in Bryant serving faithfully rocking babies and in housekeeping.

She is preceded in death by Paul E. Black of Jonesboro and Herman E. Self of Georgia.

She is survived by six children, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and others who loved "Mom".

Memorial Service will be Thursday, April 26, 12:00 noon, at Family Church in Bryant, 21815 1-30 W.
