Jacqueline Dianne Pittman, age 67 of Bryant, lost her courageous, 27 year battle with cancer with her family by her side on June 23, 2017. She was born on May 9, 1950 to Horace and Mary Ann Rutherford in St. Petersburg Florida. Dianne was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt and the best Mawmaw anyone could ask for. In her later years she just wanted to be surrounded by her family, especially her husband of 50 years. No matter how bad she felt she wanted her children and grandchildren close. Holidays and birthdays were her favorite times and she would plan way in advance for each one. You could often find her and her gandchildren eating at Larry's Pizza, playing board games and having sleep-overs. She was the laundry queen and because of that , during her healthier years, people would frequently ask about any yard-sales she may have been having. Jaqueline retired from her position as court clerk after 27 years with the Bryant District Court. When she was well and able she served in many groups of the church from the children's to youth group as well as many others. She loved her Lord and always raised her family in church.
She is preceded in death by her father, Horace Rutherford.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Raymond, Pittman; mother, Mary Ann Burris Rutherford; daughters, Angela Douglas (Shawn) and Brittany Burns (Mark); son, Brian Pittman ( Kaylee); eight grandchildren, Kyle Douglas (Caitlin), Mikayla Douglas, Bryley McClellan, Lauren Burns, Braxton Burns, Layton Burns, Easton Pittman and Lynley Burns; great-grandchild, Cora Douglas; sister, Debbie Atkins (Ricky); nieces, Tiffany and Crystal, among others, and a host of friends and family who all love and miss her dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 10:00AM. A visitation will take place the night before from 6-8 at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff at both the UAMS 7 H Wing and Colonel Glenn Health and Rehab for the attentive, loving care provided to Mrs. Pittman.
