James Edward Purscell, 88, of Malvern, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. He was born to the late, Joseph Earl Purscell and Francis (Jeffries) Robbins, on Tuesday, September 11, 1934, in Winterset, Iowa. For anyone who knows Jim, he liked to read western books and the Bible. He enjoyed talking and telling long stories that captivated you. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family! He was a proud member of the United Missionary Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, James "Jimmy" Michael Purscell; brother, Wayne Purscell; and sister, Shirley Mae Purscell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Wanda; five daughters; two sons; numerous grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids; two brothers; along with too many other special relatives and friends to even list! You are all so special and you know who you are. Jim's presence will be truly missed.

His celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2:00 P.M at United Missionary Baptist Church: 3810 Salem Road Benton, AR 72019.
