James Purvis Wooten 84 of Conway passed away on July 12, 2011 with his family by his side. James was born on July 04, 1927 to the late, Johnnie Emanuel and Ella Pearl Wooten in Webster County, Mississippi. Mr. Wooten loved taking his children and grandchildren on family vacations.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Leroy Wooten and three sisters, Ruby Wooten, Cora Wing and Earlene Norris.
James is survived by Frances Wooten; two sons, Preston Wooten and Jimmy Wooten; two daughters, Rachel Laws and Sandra Sparkman; one grandson, Daniel Sparkman; one granddaughter, Dana Laws; three sisters, Dovie Kumpe, Lorene Clouse and Frances Rackley and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who all loved and will miss him dearly.
A celebration of James's life will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
