James Elroy Simpson, 75, of Tull, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019. He was born to Roe and Juanita Simpson on Saturday, June 10, 1944 in Little Red, Arkansas. He was the Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent of Saline Missionary Baptist Church. He was the Alderman at the City of Tull. James loved his wife, JoAnna, with all of his heart. He loved his family, his friends, and his church. He was so passionate about his St. Louis Cardinals and his Dallas Cowboys, win or lose, he was a loyal fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronnie Simpson.

Remaining to share memories are his loving wife of 56 years, JoAnna Simpson; three children, Lesia Griffin (Les), Dwayne Simpson (Rachel), and Sherrie Mitchell (Jeff); five grandchildren, Justin Mitchell, Kristin Mitchell, Katlyn Simpson, Logan Simpson, Randi Nalley (Parker); four brothers, O'neal Simpson (Irene), Billy Simpson (Nancy), Robert Wayne Simpson, Terry Simpson (Brenda); numerous nieces and nephews; along with great friends and other family who love and miss him dearly.

The visitation will be Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. The celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Saline Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be held at Harper Cemetery in Perryville, Arkansas at 2:00 P.M.

The family requests casual attire.

Pallbearers: Dennis Ashcraft, Ernie Coppock, Rick/Hippie Bratton, William Simpson, Justin Mitchell, and Doug Coppock.

Honorary Pallbearers: The Deacons of Saline Missionary Baptist Church.
