James Monroe Taylor 72 of Bryant passed away on Thursday, August 06, 2009. He was born on February 9, 1937 to the late Oscar and Daisy Taylor in Solgahacia, Arkansas. Mr. Taylor was the owner and operator of Taylor Roofing Company for over 45 years. He enjoyed fishing and working on old cars. Mr. Taylor was a family man and loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. James was a man who truly knew the value of family and friends, he enjoyed every moment of life, and was an extremely hard worker who worked hard to the very end. He was Pentecostal Church of God in faith.

James is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Glenda; daughter, Lisa Floyd (Bobby); two sons, Terry "Tutti" Taylor (Linda Sue) and Jimmy Taylor (Kelli); seven grandchildren, Danny, Donny and Joey Taylor, Lauren Stephens (Karlas), Ashlee, Britiany Floyd and Trent Taylor; ten great grandchildren, Chance, Kendall, Terin, Abby, Bailey and Thiler Chotigul, Alex and Nicholas Taylor, Kortland and Konnor Stephens; seven brothers, L. D., Leroy, Wig, Wayne, JR, Thomas and Ed Taylor; two sisters, Mary Evelyn Harmosa and Mary Lois Astatda and many nieces, nephews and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.

Mr. Taylor is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill "Curley" Taylor.

A celebration of James's life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home 4212 Hwy 5 North Bryant 847-9099 with his brother Ed Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Mulberry Cemetery in England, Arkansas. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
