IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janice Pearl
Harris
June 24, 1949 – November 4, 2025
Janice Pearl Harris, 76, of Little Rock, Arkansas, left this world on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. She was born on Friday, June 24, 1949, to James Bias and Vernia (Reeves) Bias in Madeira, California.
Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was adored by her family. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. She enjoyed family gatherings and cherished her quiet moments. Janice had a lifelong passion for crafting, which could be seen in her beautiful crochet work, stained glass projects, and sewing. She also loved creating her Halloween and Christmas villages, each one built with joy and imagination.
Janice was a wonderful, strong, and fun woman who embraced life fully. She laughed easily and often. Traveling was one of her greatest pleasures; she visited many places from Florida to Europe, but her heart always returned to the beach. She was often the life of the party, known for her quick wit and vibrant sense of humor.
Her love for animals was one of her defining qualities. She rescued many strays over the years and gave each one a loving home. If she could leave the world with one lesson, it would be this.
"Find what makes you happy. Try new things. Travel when you can. Love with your whole heart."
Janice also had a rare and beautiful gift for comforting others. She helped many families through some of their hardest days, speaking peace into pain and offering compassion to those who needed it most. She will always be remembered for her gentle strength, her kindness, and her heart for others.
Janice is survived by her husband, Danny Harris; her children, James Dempsey (Louri), Kimberly Ford Dwyer (Dwayne), and Holly McPherson (Wesley),and her favorite, Jason Bias; mother, Vernia Bias;
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Caitlin Ball (Wes), Ryan Dempsey, Brandi Duvall (Brad), Nicholas Ford, Raven Dwyer, Jackson Dwyer, Zachary McPherson (Dani), Madison McPherson, Charlene Barnard (Cohen), and Lily McPherson.
Her great-grandchildren include Jaylin Ball, Zeppelin Dempsey, Minda Mack, Xander McPherson, Ryder Sessions, and Ryuk McPherson.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, James Bias, and her siblings, Mickey Gadd, and Jackie Haigwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any dog shelter or rescue of your choosing, in honor of her love for animals.
