Jerry Elia 66 of Alexander passed away June 16, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born on June 12, 1950 to the late, Gerald Lee Elia Sr. and Betty R. Elia in Gurdon, Arkansas. Jerry retired from the Little Rock Police Department in 2001 after 33 years of service. He loved his family with his whole heart; he especially loved spoiling his grandchildren. He was always at every one of their sporting events cheering them on. Jerry enjoyed coin collecting, genealogy and serving his community as a Police Officer. He was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Phyllis Elia; three daughters, Gwendolyn LaRue (Wesley), Rachel Elia and Amy Predmore (Josh); four grandchildren, Kayla, Kari, Kimberly and Blake; three great grandchildren, Carter, Dawson and Parker; sister, Cindy Looney (Garry) and a host of family and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
