Jimmie Edward Price, age 88, of Alexander, Arkansas, passed away March 9, 2025. He was born September 5, 1936 in Garland City, Arkansas, the son of Tony Price, Mildred Sanders Price Jones, and Sam P. Jones.

Jim, also known by his nickname "Wormie," was a US Army veteran assigned to the Irwin US Army Hospital at Fort Riley Kansas. He was an Operating Engineer working for Major Construction Companies on large building projects throughout Central Arkansas and several other states across the country for 45 years. He retired from CDI Contractors in 2001 only to return several more times as a part-time employee.

Jim has been a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union No. 382 for 69 Years.

After retirement, Jim volunteered his time at the Arkansas Rice Depot Food Pantry for many years. In most recent years he was a regular at the Bryant Senior Activity Center  where he was an unofficial trivia champion and a very lucky bingo player. He enjoyed baffling people daily with his knowledge of obscure facts and his treasure trove of quotes and outrageous sayings.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ray Price. He is survived by his loving companion, and dance partner of 31 years, Ms. Loretta Jolly and her son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Amanda Jolly along with their children and grandchildren; daughter, Kim Price Crawford; grandson, Jacob Trotter; granddaughter, Charly Cody and her husband, Tyler; great grandchildren, Troy Cody, Olivia Cody, Octavia Cody, Byrdie Trotter, and Case Trotter; nephews, Jeff Price and Mark Price; and sister-in-law, Carol Price.

Pallbearers include Jake Trotter, Tyler Cody, Caleb Perry, Chad Jolly, Troy Cody, and Justin Travis.

Jim will be lying in state on Thursday, March 13th, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. and his celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 14th, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at 11:00 A.M. following his service at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
