John Compton 66 of Benton passed away on December 3, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born on August 14, 1949 to the late, Herman and Nellie Compton in Fort Worth, Texas. John enjoyed making knives, working with leather and keeping up with all the lastest gadgets and electronics. He was employed with Window Mart for over 20 years. John was a member of First Lutheran Church in Benton.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nancy.
John is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Linda Compton; daughter, Melanie Compton; step son, Kris Baker (Meredith) and a host of family and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
