John Thomas Cox, 57 of Mabelvale went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on September 1, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born on August 18, 1958 to the late, John Cox and Laura Rushing in Little Rock, Arkansas. He served in the United State Army and was a dedicated Scimitar Shriner and he worked at the Haunted Hotel for 18 years. John had a very loving and giving heart, he loved being a Watchdog Dad at Hill Farm, collecting tap knobs and beer steins with his kids and grandkids and going to the I-30 Speedway.
John is survived by his daughter, Crystal Cox; two sons, Brandon Cox (Lora) and Scott Cox (Holly); eight grandchildren, Casey, Peanut, Braydann, Destiny, Aaron, Andrew, Logan and Spencer; brother, Lloyd; two sisters, pain in his hip, Jeannie and a host of family and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
