John Gilbert Gingerich, 85, of Maumelle, Arkansas went home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023. He was born to the late, Gilbert and Jane (Plunkett) Gingerich, on Sunday, December 19th, 1937, in Cotton Plant, Arkansas. Listing accomplishments is not the true measure of a man. The greater accomplishment is how well he loved his family and friends and how much they loved and adored him. John was an extraordinary man, a Godly man, a man who was loved by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Gingerich; son, Johnny Gingerich and his wife, Leanne; two daughters, Janie Lumley and her husband, Ken, and Christy van Reenen and her husband, Carel; six grandchildren, JT Gingerich, Blake Gingerich, Julia Forrest and her husband Blake, Christopher Ransom and his wife, Angel, Nicholas van Reenen, and Sydney van Reenen; two great grandchildren, Freya Forrest and Soren Forrest; two sisters, Susan Sanders and Jeanie Deck; one brother, Fred Gingerich; along with numerous other family and friends who all love him and will miss him dearly.

A celebration of life is being planned for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the Michael J Fox foundation in support of Parkinson's Disease. Services provided by Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
